Subtle Cat-Eye Tutorial w/ Tanya Burr Lashes
16:33
Hello Everyone!
Up until recently I have never been one to wear false lashes, they always seemed to weigh my eyes down and look too big for my face but, since I found Tanya Burr's Pretty Lady lashes, my eyes will never be the same again! Tell a lie... they discontinued them!!!!! How could they do this to me? What have I ever done to them? I'd better keep jolly good care of this pair before I can persuade them to bring them back! Anyway, here is one of my favourite eye looks at the minute, a subtle, neutral cat-eye look to make everyday a little spicier!
Surprise, surprise I used my favourite Smashbox Full Exposure palette for this look, stick to what you know; that's what I say! I stuck to the warm side of the palette and used the second lightest colour all over my lid and as a transition shade on a Real Techniques Base Shadow brush. I then went in with the next shade on the other and inner corners of my eyes. I would usually put a darker colour on my inner corner but for this look is really helps elongate your eye. For depth I put the darkest brown shade in my crease using the Deluxe Crease brush and made sure to blend, blend, blend! I used the lightest shimmer shade to really make the eyes pop in the centre of my lid.
Now for the fun bit! Start with doing a bog standard eyeliner nothing fancy, I used the L'Oreal Superliner Superstar, then draw a line from your inner corner following the natural shape of your eye you can make this as long or as short as you like but I suggest about half a centimetre. You can then connect this to your bottom lash line I joined it to match the pink bit of my eye whatever that may be called! For the wing I matched up the shape of the inner corner kind of imagining them being linked by a straight line this gives your eyes that cat-like illusion.
I kept my lower lashline clean which is unusual for me but I found it helped keep all emphasis on my liner which I liked a lot! To finish the look I used my Pretty Lady lashes for extra va-va-voom but if that's not for you you could just uses lashing of volumizing mascara, I suggest Maybelline the Falsies Flared.
To find out how I did my eyebrows check out my last post here!
That's it for this look, I love it for a bit of daytime glam but you could definitely jazz it up even more by adding some more shimmer! Let me know what you think and if you recreate this look tag me on Instagram or on Twitter @bronwynsbeauty.
I hope you enjoyed this post,
